At present, the African Cities Journal does not charge publication fees for papers published as part of a research project self-funded by the authors. In such cases, the processing fees are covered by the African Cities Lab.

However, for papers published as part of funded research projects or supported by an affiliated institution that has received indirect funding or a public or private grant, publication fees of CHF 1,000 per accepted paper will apply. These fees may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis upon request to the editor-in-chief.
