For submissions made before 19 July 2024

Dear authors,

Since 2023, the journal has been going through a restructuring process, and, unfortunately, this has impacted the reviewing and editing of all manuscript submissions. Indeed, we needed to focus our efforts on finding sustainable solutions for our open-access project. Today, we are happy to inform you that the African Cities Journal has found the necessary support to fulfil its mission to promote the free dissemination of scientific knowledge on the most relevant challenges of African cities.

Given the important restructuring that has taken place, we are resetting the submission process. All manuscripts submitted before 19 July 2024 need to be resubmitted for review. We will discard any submissions made before the date mentioned above – except for papers that have already been accepted for review. We will contact these authors individually.

Therefore, if you still wish for your manuscript to be considered for publication, please contact us on: info@africancitiesjournal.org

If you do not contact us or resubmit your manuscript, we will consider as if it had not been submitted, thus allowing you to submit it elsewhere.
