Strategies for adaptation and socio-professional integration of young Burkinabe born in Ivory Coast and living in the city of Koudougou (Burkina Faso)

Abstract
This study focuses on the problem of the socio-professional integration of young people from the Burkinabe diaspora in Ivory Coast. Its objective is to analyze the strategies that young Burkinabe born in Ivory Coast, returning to their country of origin, implement to adapt and integrate socially and professiolly in the city of Koudougou. By adopting techniques specific to sociology and anthropology (interviews, observations), the study explores the strategies behind the socio-professional integration of young people. The field survey shows that these young people, upon their return from Ivory Coast, encounter difficulties on a socio-professional level. To overcome these difficulties, adapt and integrate, they implement various strategies. At the social level, social networking and associative activism are the main strategies. As for the professional level, these young people apply for job offers that come their and become self-employed. In sort, the adaptation and integration into the city of Koudougou of young Burkinabe born in Ivory Coast is fundamentally depends on the effectiveness of the strategies adopted.
